Delivering orders on a bike or scooter

You’ll move faster on a bike or scooter than on foot, which means you’ll be able to deliver orders quickly and earn more.
How to start delivering by bike or scooter
Go to the “Options for Rates” section in your Yandex Pro profile and enable the “Bike or Kick Scooter Delivery” option by switching the toggle to the right.
This will tell the system to start sending you orders that can be completed on a scooter or bike. You’ll need to take a training course on how to deliver orders on bike. This training course will show you how to ride, service, park, and prepare your bike for deliveries. It will also explain what to do in the case of an accident.
Getting around safely
First, check the condition of your bike. Before you start accepting orders, you will need to make sure that everything is working correctly. This includes checking your tire pressure, handlebars, brakes, chain, and seat height. Everything must be in good working order and adjusted for your height to make sure you are safe and comfortable.
Your front and rear lights should always be on when delivering orders, even during the day. This will make you more visible on the road and lower your chances of getting into an accident.
Only travel in areas where bikes are permitted. This includes:
Bike paths or bike lanes
The rightmost lane on the road (this is a standard road rule for cyclists)
Only ride on the sidewalk if there are no other options available.
Remember: Cyclists have the same rights to use the road as motorists and must follow the same rules. Stay alert: Pedestrians and motorists may not see you, which means they could stop suddenly or swerve in your direction.
Before making any major moves, slow down and make sure you’re clearly visible. Then, use hand gestures to let other drivers know where you’re going.
If you plan to turn right, extend your right arm out to the side. If you need to go straight while some cars are turning right, continue moving straight without making any hand signals — but only after making sure that you’re allowed to go straight in the rightmost lane and that other road users will let you pass.
You can only turn left on one-lane or two-lane roads (one lane in each direction). On roads with two or more lanes in each direction, or if there are tram tracks on the road, only turn left at pedestrian crossings.
If you need to stop suddenly, let other road users know by raising your hand in the air.
Tip: Use a phone holder so you can keep your hands on the handlebars while riding, and brake quickly if needed.
Pay attention to road signs and keep note of whether you’re on a primary or secondary road. This will help you cross intersections safely.
Never ride your bike across a pedestrian crosswalk. Instead, get off your bike and walk it across the road.
Be extra careful in residential areas. Always slow down and be especially cautious near houses and courtyards, as there may be people, children, or pets around. Don’t ring your bell in residential areas, as this may scare children or pets.
Where and how to park
When parking your bike, use a bike lock to prevent it from being stolen. Try to lock your bike to fixed structures, such as railings, fences, or bike racks. Pull the lock through both the frame and the front wheel to make it as secure as possible.
If you have nowhere to park, simply pass the lock through the frame and the wheel before securing it. This will prevent someone from cycling away with your bike. Never leave your bike completely unlocked or with just the wheel locked.
What to do in the case of an accident or collision with a pedestrian
Anything can happen when making deliveries, including accidents. If you find yourself in this kind of situation:
Try to remain calm.
Make sure that everyone involved in the accident is okay, including yourself.
If no one is harmed and no one wants to file any complaints, you can all calmly go your separate ways.
If the accident is serious, someone gets injured, or your bike is damaged and you cannot complete the order:
Message Support in the Yandex Pro app.
Call the emergency services. The unified number for emergency services is 112.
